What motivates you to answer a question. Is it that you receive 2 points for an answer? Or is it the possibility that you will receive 10 points for giving the best answer? Or perhaps it's the humanity aspect - you do it just because you like to help others?

  1. What motivates me to answer a question is to know the answer

  2. A little bit of all 3....i guess

  3. It is for the generated idea...thoughts lingers long after the answer has been posted.  Not everything is about greed... answers at times are windows into one's soul...the askers  simply walk by and open them... is it for humanity or simply symbiotic relationship?

Does the sun rise for warmth or light? Or, would a thick coat suffice?

  11. It is something to do during lunch breaks at work.  I do not care about the points now that I am at 2nd level.

  12. I enjoy helping others. Thus, I am also receiving wonderful assistance with my concerns. Folk on Yahoo Answers! have helped me tremendously. I will continue to do my best. Of course, the points are nice, but the appreciation of us for each other, is way MORE than that. Peace!

  13. Helping others, this is a good place for people who may not be comfortable asking questions face to face. For that reason I tend to only give answers to questions that I have similar experience of. Never trust someone's advice on subjects they have no experience of.

  14. For me it's helping others. I've always wanted to give advice to complete strangers! (That sounded better in my head.)

The points are really just there as a nice bonus. If there were no point system, I'd probably still use the site anyway.

I can also got advice for myself from this site which is cool. In a way I guess the Point system keeps things under control because asking quiestions costs points so you have to stop for a while and answer questions for a bit until you have enough points.

So I guess the site's purpose is to let people know you have to give to recieve.

  15. I am here to try to understand people's problems and also to resolve my problems. Also talking about many things in this strange world. I don't care my points but points are right for all people that gives a right answers.

  16. Motivation determines what you, I'd think naturally humans would do it for the highest amount of points.
