  1. to help others in times of hardship and pure confusion, and be able to receive answers as well

In short, SHARE the CIRCLE of KNOLEDGE

  2. so we can help people but not killing them selves

  3. I have Bipolar disorder and OCD. I'm also at univeristy training to be a mental health nurse.

I've tried to commit suicide 3 times and i'm still here, i want to help other people and make them see that they are strong enough to fight whatever they are going through.

I'm extremely passionate about helping others, hence why i want to become a nurse. This section has really helped me come to terms with my disorders, and i no longer feel like i'm a freak because i know their are people out there who feel the same as me.

Thanks for asking this question :)

  4. looking out for people who have the same problems or similar problems as me and try to help them out

  5. It's a subject I know a lot about, having both studied psychology and having a mental illness. Seems like a good way for me to put some information out there.

As far as it being depressing, well, that's true. But no one going through a mental crisis should have to do it alone. I know how horrible that is, and if I can help someone get through the night or find help, I will.

  6. The desire to help the afflicted and unstable.

    .

  7. because some people are serious

  8. I have issues in my own life and I find it helpful to me if I can share my prodigious wisdom with others. Even if I can't help someone I always try to encourage people. I find this helps in my own life; at least I'm not sitting around feeling sorry for myself.

There are people who p*** me off with their rude comments and stupid questions, or the ones that can't spell or use punctuation. I just ignore those.

But if I can help someone even just a little bit I get a good feeling from it.

PS I saw the video... kinda cute.

  9. because i understand what others are going through.

  10. boredom

  11. the fact that you could be helping someone out of a difficult situation and helping them look at there problems in a different way so that they dont see it as there problems cant be solved you help find a way that they can be. so that they can hopefully help themselves to to come to terms of the situation they are in and hopefully not see that the only way out is to kill themselves.

basically just the fact that you could be helping someone that is in trouble

  12. When I read people's questions about their struggles with mental illness or other issues that relate, I don't feel so alone.

It's very difficult to feel connected to others when individuals in your every day life do not struggle with these things.

Also, I am studying to be a counselor so I like to offer as much advice and help as I can.

  13. Because I can help.

  14. Because I receive treatment for depression and I worked for mental health agencies since 1987.

Also, I used to be a musician but hand problems are making it difficult for me to enjoy it much anymore. This gives me something to do with my spare time.

The cartoon is pretty clever, but real clinical depression is more complicated than that.

  15. coz its fricken funny.

    no im totally kidding,

i answer because its interesting and the fact you can help someone is great, whatever the category.

  16. What motivates me to answer in this sections is the potential oppourtunity to learn and share information with other people who may be going through some tough times. I went through some issues although I never sought help on yahoo I figure if I can share my experiences maybe it will help someone.

  17. because i have depression, so i want to talk to and help others with mental problems so that i feel less alone.

i'm sorry you find it so depressing, but what do you expect. just think yourself lucky you don't have depression, or some other mental problem.

  20. That short film is hilarious lol .. I've suffered from quite serious mental health problems for most of my life. I come to this section just out of interest, but must admit that sometimes it makes meel feel a lot worse reading some of the questions. I think the best solution to long term mental health problems is to stop focussing on them all the time and develop hobbies and a general interset in the outside world.
