  1. The Ural Mountains are the most famous of the country's mountain ranges because they form the natural boundary between Europe and Asia; the range extends about 2,100 kilometers from the Arctic Ocean to the northern border of Kazakhstan. In terms of elevation, however, the Urals are far from impressive. They do not serve as a formidable natural barrier. Several low passes provide major transportation routes through the Urals eastward from Europe. The highest peak, Mount Narodnaya, is only 1,894 meters. Yet, while they are not imposing to the eye, the Urals do contain valuable deposits of minerals

  2. The Caucasus.

  3. The correct answer is THE ALTAI MOUNTAINS.

"The Altay Mountains are a mountain range in central Asia, where Russia, China, Mongolia and Kazakhstan come together, and where the rivers Irtysh, Ob and Yenisei have their sources. ..."

There are two other mountain ranges that separate China from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, namely:

    - The Tien Shan Mountain Range

    - The Alay Mountain Range

  4. Altay Mountains

  5. On a few kilometres the Altay separates China from Russland; in the Northwest of China it´s the Greater Khingan and the Small Khingan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_Khi...
