What movie is this? It's driving me crazy.?

I cannot think of the name of this movie. There is a red headed woman who claims to have had a child, even though there is no proof of it. Her husband even denies that there ever was a child. She ends up tearing the wallpaper down from the office room and finds her child's wall paper under it. Turns out that aliens were doing an experiment to see if they could sever the bond between mother and child. And she was the only one that still remembered her child. Oh she also convinces her son's best friend's dad to help her.
