What movies don't fake science?

It spoils the movie when they explain a scientific idea incorrectly. What movies do you think hold true to the laws of modern science? Do movies have to be so bogus to satisfy anyone with a knowledge of science?

  1. Well, at least in my memory, I don't know any such movie.

You know movies pay attention to attract more spectators where as science is boring for most of the people in the world (except me and probably you).

So if movies start showing the true scientific facts, they will not make a good hit in business.

  2. I'm with Jonathan, and I've been thinking about this for a number of years. Even Carl Sagan couldn't resist the temptation to use super-technology in "Contact".  Come on now, worm holes to travel faster than light?  That's highly implausible.

I'm actually writing a sci-fi book in which one of my goals is to avoid any use of so-called sci-fi technologies.  It doesn't break or stretch to incredulity any laws of physics that I'm aware of.

Heck, I've never even seen a SPORTS movie which isn't ridiculously unrealistic at some point.  Much less, a sci-fi movie.
