  1. When you dance, your using all of your muscles, buts its mostly your legs and your arms.

  2. Every single muscle is used in ballet. Unlike soccer or basketball which are team sports, in ballet, you can only depend on your self so every part of your body is involved. The parts which are used the most overall are the abs becaue they help you pull up for turns or long holds. Also having strong arms is VERY important because you have to push down to pull up which creates an opposite effect and makes the dancer pull up.  When en pointe, the calves are used a lot also. Also in ballet you always are on the ball of your foot which also has muscles. In any kind of leg lifs your inner thigh is REALLY working to lift the leg high

  3. all of them

  4. every single one.

  5. battement is your stomach, legs and back. Arabesque uses legs and back, stomach. Really ballet uses like every muscle. its not really fair to say that one or two muscles create a position.

may God bless you and eveyrone you love.

  6. all of them, i imagine. If you actually see a ballerina dance then they use they're hands, torso, legs, everything. But the most used are the feet, calves, and thighs.

  7. Your inner thighs and your core are used the most.  When you dance you have to use you inner thighs for turnout and to keep everything flat. Your core is used for balance and again to keep everything flat.

  8. what everyone said..plus your back muscles for  arabesque

  9. for guys upper body to pick the girls up, for girls lower body like all your leg muscles

  10. THE CALVES ARE USED THE MOST.

my mom took ballet when she was young & her calves are HUDGE.
