Hello, I am wondering what exercises are needed to achieve strong legs for running. In addition, I am also seeking ways on how to work both big and small for my legs; however, I also want to know how is it possible strengthen the legs using both weights and resistant cords? Please provide a reasonable answer. Thank you and have a great day!!!

  1. your hamstrings are your speed your calfs are your power. try putting the balls of your feet on the edge of a stair(so your heels are hanging off) then drop your heels off the edge and then push up so you are standing on your toes. do that like fifty times and try doing it one footed to build leg strength

  2. There are three equally important muscles used in running.

Calves - easy but important exercise.  Grab some weights stand on the edge of a step and raise yourself.

Quads - squats with weights help.

Hamstrings - leg lifts are best to do at a gym or exercise machine to prevent injury.
