What muscles do you use to hold on to a inter tube on the water?

The tube where you tie in on the back of the boat. I was wondering was muscles you use when your holding on

  1. Depends on the tube and the riding position.

    Sitting Down facing forward:

    Hands and wrists for relaxed riding.

    On knees facing forward or hanging by arms:

    More aggressive riding:Shoulders,Arms,Abs(Pretty much entire upper body).

  3. The (hand) muscles you use to hold on to an inner tube (I assume it has handles) are the "deep flexors" and "superficial flexors."  These are the muscles that actually allow your fingers to bend.  You also use the "abductor" muscle in your thumb, which help you to grasp onto an object.
