I'm going to a bike camp this summer that goes 400 miles biking on the roads and highways. I'm trying to improve my leg muscle strength for Cross-Country and Track next year. What are the major muscles that this much biking will build up?

  1. Biking works almost all muscles in your legs as well as some in your arms and torso; but the main muscles biking works are your Quads(thighs), Hamstrings(back of your thigh), and Glutes(butt).

  2. Your leg musles

  3. That Sophomore Guy above has a good answer (I'm always baffled by the Glutes reference!)

Can I just mention, that your heart  has a good work out too!!

  4. Your Quadriceps (front part of your thigh) and your hamstring (back part of your thigh)
