  1. Swimming basically tones every muscle in your body! It's a great way to stay in shape and it's a lifelong sport.  I would definitely recommend it!

  2. talking muscles

cos you talk to all the fit lifeguards ;)

    LOL

  3. if you use all the different strokes, swimming works ALL your muscles- it's a wonderful form of exercise.

  4. Defidently all of them, but there are a few that certain stokes defidently work.

Butterfly works the shoulder muscles intensely and also your abs.

Backstroke works the ab if done correctly and the legs.

Breaststroke involves the legs and you chest muscles.

Freestyle defidently works your arms, legs and abs.

  5. with all the stokes

    comes all muscles worked

    its incredible...

  6. My brothers on the highschool swim team and he said "all of them"

  7. primarily, your shoulders and your lats. Then next in line it will work triceps and forearm. Then it'll work biceps and legs and core. That's in list from most used to least used.

Yes, swimming gives you a great all-around workout, but it really doesn't work feet as much as people say it does. I can swim All-American times, but I have serious trouble running a half mile. Sad, I know.

But to get an idea, do some pull-ups (palms facing away, not to be confused with chin ups). Thats a good idea of what muscles swimming uses. Also the reason why pull-ups help swimmers, and why swimmers can usually do lots of pull-ups.

The combination of swimming, running, and lifting will work every muscle in your body, and is usually regarded as the best combination of workouts.
