What muscles groups should i workout for baseball?

Like what types of workouts and muscle groups need to be strong and in shape to be an all around good baseball player, any workout suggestions?

  1. explosive leg workouts and plyometrics will be very helpful. core muscle groups (abs, sides, lower back) will also be very good to work on. for those i would suggest going to a gym and using abdominal machines. do plenty of cardio and work on the tricep muscle. triceps are involved mostly in throwing. deltoids and lats will also help so when you make diving stops you don't pull a muscle in your back.

  4. Do some serious core work. Abs, stomach, lower back. That's going to do a big difference in your swing.

    Also work on your legs, mostly explosive workouts like cleans and things of that nature.

    Work the arms through moderate weight and high reps. Don't strain yourself.

    ALWAYS stretch before workouts, avoid tendonitis and things like that.
