  1. Elevated push ups, chin ups, pull ups using the short or long bar, behind the head, and in front overhead presses.*

  2. Push ups & pull ups.

"bear crawls"....My high school football coaches favorite way to torchure us. Builds upper body strength and co-ordination in young guys....fast! Doing "bear crawls" around the garage or up and down a slight hill will build strength. Trust me on that one!

Eat right. Eat your proteins (beef, chicken, fish, eggs, milk, nuts) and veggies! Try to lay off the sugar. Eat whole grain breads and cereals.

  3. Yes to both pushups and pullups.  Another one to do is Australian pull ups.  This is also called a reverse pushup.  Where you lower the pullup bar about 2 feet off the ground, lay down face up and pull yourself up with your feet still on the ground.

Don't forget to also work the stabilizing muscles, do workouts that targets your deltoids(shoulder muscles).  Use light weights and workout your rotator cuffs.  When using weights to work your muscles for archery, always use low weights high reps.  You're not trying to bulk up, just getting those lean muscles and endurance.

  4. Push-ups and pull-ups will each work the shoulder muscle groups and should both be done.  Remember that you are pulling with one hand and arm as you are pushing with the other side.

  5. dips are the single best upper body exercise without weights

You will be amazed at the gains made in a short time

  6. pushups are best..
