What muscles....?

do you use when you play. And exactly which one I should work on to make a over hand better? And please don't just say a lot. I already know that. I just want to know a few. :)

  1. Volleyball does use a lot of muscles like you said. If I had to suggest exercises that would be beneficial to a volleyball player. I would put running at the top. It promotes stamina and leg strength as well as speed. This will be helpful when you need to get to the ball and endure long matches.

    Also I would suggest squats and stairs, which will promote your ability to jump.

    Putting power behind your over hand will be done with arm exercises such as curls and more importantly reverse curls.

    I'm no expert but personally I think that precision will be more important than power so practicing the overhand itself in a drill or scrimmage would probably be more beneficial than any exercise you can do for your arms since it will give you a bit more power while also pushing your precision and experience to its potential.
