The younger french crowd also likes Quebec groups/singers like Les Cowboys Fringants, Mes Aïeux, KAÏN, Ariane Moffatt (to name a few). But they do listen to a lot of American music.

It all depends upon the individual, I guess.

It's like asking what do people enjoy eating - it varies, don't you think?

I've met folks who listen to a lot of French artists from Western Europe, other to old and classic Quebecois singers and repertoires such as Gilles Vigneault, Felix Leclerc Harmonium, Beau Dommage, etc.

Others (younger generation mostly) love and relish every single thing that the U.S. market has to offer.

While others love Celine Dion's work - why not?
