What musical group is good for a 7 year old girl to listen to?

I want to buy a cd for a girl, what music artists or group would you recommend. She likes to dance and sing along.

My seven year old niece listens to Aly and Aj. They are very clean. Come from a more religous background. The music is upbeat enough for her to dance to and you don't have to worry about your niece trying to dress like them and end up looking like a well you know what I mean.

If you want to avoid the cliche disney, here are some recommendations. Note that you should try to find the clean versions of the albums with a * next to it. It should be relatively harmless as long as she is listening to the clean version:

- Green Day*

- My Chemical Romance*

- The All American Rejects

- The Beatles (Yeah it's old school, but she'll have better music tastes in the future if you immediately introduce her to this kind of stuff)

- Fall Out Boy

- Panic at the Disco*

- The Killers

- Muse

- Simple Plan

- Weezer

If you haven't heard any of these (although you probably have,m whether or not you know it) try youtubing it. They are far more innocent than the sound. These kinds of bands try to give off cool guy images, but all they really sing about it love and stuff.

Introducing her to this stuff now may save her from listening to crappy rap music written about s*x and violence when she's older.

There are also Radio Disney CDs out there.  Also, any soundtracks to movies that she likes.  My favorite would be the Shrek2 CD or the soundtrack to Enchanted.

You could try getting her a Disney Mania CD.  They have a whole bunch of songs from popular Disney movies that have been remixed and sung by different artists.  They are fast and fun for children to sing along with.  They have about 6 different CDs, so you can choose one with songs she might enjoy.  I wouldn't get her a Hannah Montana/ Miley Cyrus CD, because she's a bad role model (if you've heard all the stuff going on with her lately).  You could also try High School Musical or Camp Rock.  But that depends on her personality.  You might also try getting her soundtracks from her favorite movies.  She might enjoy singing to those too!  Good luck! =)

Don't listen to the others, those singers have bad influences. Go for kids BOP. This one has kids singing and no strange words. Oh by the way Kids Bop has a bunch of Cd's that you can put on tv and then you could watch the kids on TV do mature dances.
