  1. Brand: HP

    Memory RAM: 4GB or 3GB

Processor: Dual Core 1.8 and up

    Graphic Card: 128MB and up

LCD Panel Size: 17" around there (YOUR CHOICE)

    Operating System: Windows Vista

    I have a HP dv6000 and i think is a good computer

  2. you forgot the most important one for that list, processor.  you want intel core 2 duo for that

  3. repairs are way more $$$ than a tower p.c

-if your at home stick with a p.c.

get a wireless keyboard and mouse instead

  4. I just bought a Gateway t1628 with an AMD Turio X2 TL-60 @ 2GHZ per Core, 3gb of memory, 250gb hard drive, ATI Radeon X1270, Sigmatel High Definition Audio, (light), normal battery (I've managed 3hrs 30min on it watching a 1080p Bluray movie and listening to music).  It was $650 and it was the Best laptop i found for the price.  It also came with Windows Vista 32bit.  I installed Windows XP Professional sp2 for much better performance.
