Hi,

No you don't need to do anything just make sure that the parents have enough food and water. You will however need to look in the nest at least once a day to see how the chicks are doing and if theres any food or anything around their beaks if so just pick it off, as all birds are messy feeders.

Cockatiels make very good parents, they will know what to do. Your job is to give the parents the support and tools they need to raise their babies. You should make sure to feed the parents a higher fat food than usual. Hopefully the parents are eating pellet food already, if so checkout the Roudybush product for this purpose. If not, feed them higher fat and higher protein human food.

Also, make sure you give the parents plenty of space as they will be protective of the babies. Keep the cage clean and warm.

When the cockateils babies hatch , the parents can take care of them . If you want to put the leg band on the babies, you need to pull them out at 10 _ 12 days old . Meanwhile, you need to feed the parents good , like give them hard boiled eggs ( cut in half serve shell and all ) zupreem fruit snack ( buy at the pet store ) brown bread as snack and crackers ( rotate , one day for this , one day for that . ) After you put the leg band on the babies , I suggest that you hand fed the babies , because the parents make try to take the ;eg band off , and it may hurt the babies .
