  1. you have to know alot of tricks go to a skating contest hope to get sponsered

  2. You need lots and lots of practice of course. And try entering amateur contests. There will be people there looking for someone to sponsor and to have hopefully enter pro events for them.

  3. just keep skating

  4. It doesn't matter how long you skate its mainly how good you are and you sees you skate.

Some tricks you might want to learn are;kickflip,heelflip,360 shovit,treflip,impossible,50-50,5-0,boar... and some other grinds could get you sponsored by a skateshop, you just need to start skating in contests and get noticed by a local skateshop and then go from there

  5. lol.

    First of all.

    I wanna say.

I'm sponsored by One Way Board Shop In santa maria.

I had to film and make a 1-2 minute part to get sponsored.

in all it took me 3 months to get sponsored, lots of driving, lots of sweat and blood.

to get sponsored you have to be decent at skateboarding.

you probably don't know how good decent is.. but you don't have to be ridiculously good.

but with being good you have to have "Style"

    style is so important.

    anyways

    this is how sponsorships work

    there are levels

    Shop-Flow-Am-Pro

shop is where almost every skater starts.

at a local skateshop in their city.

They get a discount at the shop

get a free deck once in a while and

    participate in the demos

Flow is when you're sponsored by a company but you don't get ad coverage, you get free/discounted product every 1-2 months.

when your Am you receive free product, get ad coverage and a small paycheck

when your pro it's basically the same but with a bigger paycheck.

Pursuing a career in skateboarding is hard.

there is a lot of kids that try to come up.

just skate and have fun. if your good enough and have style it'll happen.

I'm still contemplating wether to move to San Diego when i turn 18 to pursue a career in skateboarding.
