This is just for a trip about a week long. I'm trying to figure out if it is worth it to bring my dog along. Is this difficult/expensive to do?

  1. i did this with my dog... call the embassy to know which shots are mandatory, your Yorkie will need them all a month before your leave, also a pet passport, and a health certificate from the vet no later then a week before you leave......... since its a small dog it can travel in cabin with you depending on the airline, and you MUST make sure your dog will not whine or bark (they can take it away if it does), if it will drug it....... also if its in cabin with you it has to be on the floor under the seat..... its worth it if you're going to be a long time in Spain (a month or more) if not leave it with someone who can take care of it,,, dogs don't like these types a trips, i know from experience

  2. I thought you meant the chocolate bar!!

  3. The main thing is a "traveling passport" which you must get from your veterinarian, he has to fill it out confirming that all your pets vaccinations are up to date, (I think it has to be filled out at least a month before your trip).

You will need a traveling case to carry him on the flight...Then, of course, you will have to pay for his airplane ticket

If your trip is just for a week, it might not be worth the trouble, especially if you have someone you can leave him with..
