  1. 3/8 + 5/16 - x = 5/8 * 3/16

    6/16 + 5/16 - x = 15/128

    11/16 - x = 15/128

    x = 11/16 - 15/128

    x = 88/128 - 15/128

    x = 73/128

  2. The product of two numbers means that they are multiplied together. the sum of two numbers means they are added together.

    make all fractions equal for simplicity 3/8 becomes 6/16 and 5/8 becomes 10/16, I'm sure you can now solve the rest of this yourself 30/256 and 176/256

  3. sum is: 11/16

    product is 15/ 128

    The unknown nuber you want to substract to get equality.

    11/16- x= 15/128

    X= 11/16- 15/128= 88/128- 15/128= 73/128.

    Hope I did it right.
