Question:

What name do you absolutely love, but would never name your baby?

(Because it is odd, or your hubby hates it, or you're afraid your child will get teased a lot?)

My husband likes Topanga. (I can't believe he likes this name- no offense to anyone, but I hate it hate it hate it!) I nixed it immediately.

I like Tristan, my hubby thinks it's a bit dandified so he nixed it.

How about you?

    Is that were he got it from?

    Topanga is a Native American name means a place above

    It's pretty, I would not use it

    Tristan, I never liked, it's to close to Trista, I think it's very girlie, so I agree with your husband

    I love the name Erin, so did my husband, we could not use it with our daughter because it did not go with the last name

    Our last name is very Harsh, and a lot of names did not go

    A boy I always love Hank, I thought it was cool older name


  2. He probably likes Topanga because he loved Boy Meets World when he was younger! In his defense she was a really pretty girl!

    I like the nickname Maggie, but HATE Margaret, so thats out!

    My husband likes Cody, and I just think it sounds too nerdy (no offense to anyone)

    But Tristan, Ariel, and Wesley are not bad names and I know people with these names :]

  6. I love the name Hazel but I was given so much grief during my last pregnancy when I suggested the name for my daughter that I don't think I would ever be allowed to use it :)

  10. I love the name Mac for a boy and Gracyn for a girl but my hubby doesn't like either....

  17. i like the name Rudy   when i was pregnant with our daughter we din't know she was a girl and my husband referred to the baby as rutabaga!!  lol   needless to say we didn't name the baby rudy  but since then i've come to really liking the name Rudy.....he wont even let me name the dog rudy  lol

  19. I love the name Isolde, but I don't really have the guts to use it! There are so many ways that she'd be teased. I also really like the name Albert, ha ha. But then there's "Fat Al."

  20. For boys, I like Quinn, Trey, Gabe and Xander.. I wouldnt use them though. Quinn could be considered as pretty girly, whilst the others are considered nicknames and I dont like the full names!

    Boyfriend doesnt like Evan, although I LOVE IT!

    For girls, Arielle and Evelyn... I LOVE evelyn, although on a little girl its abit too much! :(

    Boyfriend doesnt like Lily, although i love that too!

  21. My son's name is Cash Eriksen (Eriksen being his middle name) and no one in my family likes it. I like Jaurez for a girl and I am not even hispanic. I also love Loen for a girl, but my family thinks of Lindsay Lohan, and we don't need that.

I am not planning on having kids.  However, if I did I would be tempted to give my daughters old lady names.  I positively ADORE those names on little girls.  I think it is adorable to meet a little girl named Mildred or Hazel or Virginia or Stella.  However, I know my family would give me a lot of c**p.  ^_-

    For boys my husband and I agreed that if we were the type to have children and had a son we would name him Brock Samson.

  26. I love the name Elzabea (german form of Elizabeth) and I would call her Ellie. My husband said no way and thats ok because we have 3 boys.
