I call him Froggy. We met on the Internet, and during our year - long on line friendship, I started referring to him as my Prince. He said at one point "I do hope that when we meet, you don't decide that I'm a frog in disguise".....I called him Froggy from that day on. When we did meet, I soon realised that my first impression was the right one. Six years on, I've married my prince, but I still call him "Froggy" .

My late husband and I called each other Dear.  We did this jokingly at first and then it became a real term of endearment for the next 26 years.  He is still my dearest.

I must be the odd ball, I don't use any term of endearment for hubby. I never have in all our years together, My mom or dad never did this so maybe that is why. My daughter calls her hubby honey but I don't think any thing else.  My daughter-in-law is not affectionate but My son is, he calls  her   sweetie or honey. Poppy

We also met on the internet and very quickly my partner picked up on my southern dialect and terminology. They are now called, Boo, a good ole southern term of endearment.
