I love the name lily..it just sounds beautiful..and it is quaint..its a cute name but at the same time its showing people that your trying to hard to find that cute name..and honestly..stella reminds me of a stripper name..if anything Id say ella..

They are both sweet names.  Either would be nice.  I do think Lily is probably more popular right now but that is neither here nor there as far as I am concerned.

I actually love both of the names! They both sound clean and pure and Lilly is common Stella isn't that common. If you're looking for a common name pick Lilly. If you're looking for a not so common name pick Stella. By the way, CONGRATS!

I love both but Lily is far too common now (I have 4 friends with girls called Lily) so I'd go with Stella. What about Lily as a middle name Stella Lily x x

I like Lily for a sweet, decent girl & Stella for a girl who has to be the best at everything! I hope that helped even though i didnt give you an exact name it just depends on how you want your daughter to be but both names are very classic! Congratulations!

Both are very feminine and nice sounding.  However, according the the Social Security admin. baby names website...  Lily is ranked as 27th most popular name for baby girls in US right now.  Stella was 200 and some.  If you want Lily to have friends name Lily and schoolmates named Lily, go for it.   Otherwise, I would definitely do Stella.

I Lily because its a sweeter name and to me Stella is just kind of old lame. Lily is a flower and it is as beautiful as the flower. Stella is a greasy disco girl from the 70s. You decide though it's your baby. But I personally would go with Roxi or Jovi. But that's just me. Congrats though!

Personally, when I hear Stella, I either think of the alchohol, or a bleach blonde 40yr old woman covered in make up behind a bar..but on the other hand, I really like its definition of star.
