  1. what about Woody?

  2. I like your first two names best, but I would choose a very special name that signifies just how special it is to have a male cockateil.  My dad used to pick seeming "oddball" names for his pet dogs that he loved dearly.  He named one very small terrier that wandered up on his country property "Attilla", even though the dog was so small that initially you couldn't even see him until he jumped up and down through the wild grass.  He named another dog "Henry" for Henry David Thoreau.  "Henry" sounded plain enough but the fun was in trying to figure who he named the dog after.  Henry's brother he named "Waldo", after Ralph Waldo Emerson.  I had a wonderful German Shepherd that I got as a puppy, and the owners had named him "Rocky" after the Sylvester Stallone character.  I hated a hollywood name for such a good dog, but couldn't think of another one till I caught myself calling him a mutt frequently, so, I figured if I'm gonna call him mutt, then I'll name him Mutt, and that was his name all his life.  And we had so much fun together and played and ran and went for walks together.  And as I trained him, when he would occasionally fail to follow my command, I'd grab him by the collar or some area around the neck and tell him, "If you don't start acting right I'm gonna deemote you to DAWG!!"  Of course, that was all in fun and irony, but I'd remind him of his second name if he didn't act right, and he knew he had to act better, even though he always knew we were just like buddies and playmates.  I loved that dog dearly.  He got killed last year when he ran out in the road and got hit.  He had snuck out the back yard with some of our other dogs when my wife and I accidentally left the gate open.  I guess all this is to say, have fun in naming  your cockateil.  I've had a few (all female), as well as parakeets, canaries, and finches.  Enjoy your pet, and have fun with naming him.  It always made our relationships more fun and closer.  God Bless you.
