Well If you're using the full name Lilian. But if you're going to use a nick name it doesn't matter. Because you could use Lily or Ally and they almost sound the same.

I would chose Alice b/c I used to love reading Alice books written by Phillis Reynold Naylor when I was a teen. Awsome books!! Plus, Lilly is cute, but Lilian sounds like an old lady w/ fake blond hair.

When I think "Alice", I think: gorgeous, sophisticated, s**y, cute, and outgoing. Someone who you'd like to be bestfriends with. But then again, that's just my opinion.

You should check what each of the names mean in a baby name book.
