  1. Exactly. I was thinking the same thing yesterday. I like his personality also. He simply drove a good race yesterday. He seems to have a lot of desire to be competitive without rubbing against the other drivers the wrong way.  He's one that you could expect to see full time in the cup. I wouldn't doubt it if he is offered a ride  for [or in] 2009.

  2. Yep!  I was really impressed with Marcos and I was afraid that JPM was going to take him out.  It was nerve wracking a bit there.  I am sure for him to.  Good run for Marcos!!!

  3. Marcus Ambrose.

  4. Marcos for sure but Kyle Busch really impressed me once again.  It does help to be able to motor away from everyone on restarts but he did not make any mistakes, once again, and held on for another impressive win at a road course!  Jimmie Johnson also impressed me, he ran up front all day and even got back into the top 10 after falling back from the unexoected stop for the flat tire.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  5. Yeppers by all means the Aussie, love him to pieces Ambrose was the man yesterday..43 to 3rd, now that is a road racer for sure!!!

  6. Marcos Ambrose, because he started dead last and finished third, in only his third Cup start.

  7. Marcus Ambrose. he won the race there on Saturday in the Nationwide Series. to start from 43 and finish 3rd yesterday like you said is quite impressive. it's only a matter of time that his next win to come would be a Sprint cup win.

  8. Same here.  Hats off to y mano Juan Pablo as well.  He ran a clean superb race.

  9. I agree, Marcus Ambrose because he started 43 and finished 3.

  10. Same as you. Ol' Ambrose is one heck of a road course racer and I was pulling for him to win. He finished excellent and proved that the Wood Brothers can still play the game and that he can race with the big boys.

  11. Kenseth finishing 12th to get back in the chase.  He had a bad car all weekend and he is pretty poor at the road coarses.

  12. you stole my answer! :)   Yeah he definitely impressed me, but he impressed me in both the Nationwide and Sprint races.

  13. Other then the obvious Ambrose, I would say Mcdowell.  I didn't know he was capable of causing such destruction yet be able to go unscathed!  That's thumbs up to him, eh? The force from his Texas Qualifying crash rubbed off on Gilliland... then rubbed off on Labonte... then Hornish... then Sorenson... zzzzz.

Eh, seriously though... I think Ambrose is the only impressive one.  I was going to say Kyle Busch, but if it wasn't for Tony Eury Jr., Earnhardt had it in the bag... totally.  So Busch DID do a good job, but he just got lucky over Tony Eury's stupid plan.

So, yes... I suppose Ambrose wins the "Most Impressive Last Weekend" award, with an average finish of 2. Not too shabby, eh?

  14. I would ay Ambrose but the way he ran at Sonoma and on Saturday, I expected it so I will say Dale Jr., I had no idea he can wheel a car around a road course, too bad Eury had his head up his rear.

  15. Marcos Ambrose, nobody else even close.... What a great run... Let's face it, the Woods Bros cars aren't the fastest cars on the track, but Ambrose drove it like he stole it.  He didn't have the HP to match Kyle and Tony, but he drove a fantastic race....

  16. Yes, Marcos Ambrose #21, from 43rd to 3rd, and also that great Nationwide win on Saturday. Great race weekend Marcos..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  17. Ambrose without a doubt and I really think that he will be a force next year..............Dale Jr drove really well and may have won that thing if it hadn't been for the caution. He should have come in sooner!!

    Congrats to #18..............

  18. Definitely Marcus Ambrose. That guy is getting better every time he is on the track.

  19. Ambrose was a good choice, he did really well, and I would say Kenseth for getting toward the front and back in the chase.

  20. Marcos Ambrose is the resounding answer, but just as "VP Tom G"  said, it was expected after his performance at Sonoma. I was very impressed with AJ Allmendinger finishing 11th, especially with all the uncertainty about his future. So AJ impressed me most, but how about David Gilliland? Of course he was mired in the back of the pack all day, but after getting hit so many times I found it amazing he could just climb out of the car and run across pit road uninjured!  But as for AJ, I expect very bright things in the future.
