  1. My guess would be Al Keller back in the first Grand National Road Course at Linden, N.J. in June 13, 1954

    He was driving a Jaguar XK-120 which had hemi heads design. Chrysler didn't come out with hemi heads until around the 1960's I think.

  2. Richard Petty 1964 Daytona 500. Just a guess....couldn't find much on the first HEMI win. I knew the HEMI was still considered "the newest thing to hit NASCAR" when he led 184 of 200 laps to score the win.
