I looked at listings from the 1930 census, for persons with this name, and where either they (or their parents) were born. I am seeing Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Hungary.  Of course, this has to be a bit flexible.. Poland didn't "exist" as a country, for a number of years, in the 1800s.  Thus, a place that we know as Poland (today) may be shown in the census then as maybe Germany, Lithuania or something else.

If you want to edit your question.. if you have the name(s) of your gr grandparents, or such who were adults in 1930, it should be easy to locate your exact family and see what they said, as to their place of origin.

Assuming you locate your ancestor in this time frame (best is 1910), it can show the year of immigration. That can lead to the immigration record itself, or naturalization records.. both of which may include the exact town/village.

Especially for Eastern Europe, you have to have some flexibility in thinking. Borders of countries there were in almost constant change, due to wars or annexations.

According to ancestry, most of them are Hungarian, austrian, german, and a couple scots. Hope this helped.
