What nationality* is the last name 'Budziszewski' from?

-It's pronounced Buddha-sheski

*= I don't know if nationality is the word, but I'm pretty sure it is, ( as in what country is the last name from)

  1. Poland --ski at the end is your clue.  Polish people migrated all around the surrounding Eastern Block Countries after the 2 World Wars so they could have come from a neighboring country but the SKI makes it polish.

  3. It's no where close to being Romanian. But it is from a Slavic/Slovak country. The US Immigration records show people with that name were mainly from Poland, but some were Lithuanian and Slovakian. Until 1918, all 3 lands were part of Austria-Hungary, Russia and Germany because the lands had been partitioned and lost their independence. If you can find the name of your ancestors who came to the US, I'd be happy to help you find their hometown.

    BTW, the original pronunciation would be "Boo dja shev ski"
