      Bali has strong wind

    but relatively safe

Despite series of natural disaster that hit several areas in Indonesia's region recently, Bali is relatively stay calm except few storm threats from Australia that caused the Bali and Lombok waters in rather volatile to be crossed.

The drastic changing of weather in Bali was felt since November last year in which Bali should have had poured with rain since then, but Bali is still dry and ready to comfort its visitor with warm weather, because the dryness continued to December which was a blessing for people eager to celebrate new year eve in Bali successfully without a rain drop.

The rain poured heavily just to welcome the New Year in January 1 2007, and since then Denpasar and it surrounds was relatively dry and sultry until two weeks ago with heavy rains and strong wind in Denpasar and it surrounds.

The threat of the storm from Australia recently had had caused the wave and very strong wind played havoc in Bali and Lombok and close the harbor for  crossing the waters for awhile until the weather more friendly and to avoid another transportation disasters.

Bali Meteorology and Geophysics Office warns tourism operators to avoid any marine activity or marine sport such surfing, snorkeling or swimming in the volatile beaches areas because the tide height can be reaching more than 3 meters, sometimes in the high sea the wave can reach more than 15 meters. The high tides were caused by the strong winds that impacted Bali and Lombok island for awhile, until the storm passed the areas.

The March 6 quake in Padang, West Sumatra with 6.3 Richter Scale that had 70 people died in the quake has baffled Bali's people as many other people, but fortunately, it affected a little to Bali tourism industry for there no reports of cancellation of bookings, no rush to go home and everything is calm and sultry as the rain is elusive to drop.

Tourists can be able to enjoy Bali without take a plunge into the sea, but there are many others activities offered such sightseeing, shopping, dancing exhibition, whitewater rafting, or just fooling around and lolling in the pool or just pampering the body in the various spa treatment scattered in Bali.

Bali people are fervently hoping such disaster would never ever happened in Bali especially after twice attacked by terrorists which had make the industry down dramatically in the recent years. This couple of years were the best year after the attacks.

Bali government had put tsunami 6 tsunami detectors around Bali, and three of them were placed in Badung and Denpasar as the main destination of tourism industry in Bali. Hopefully the devices will give people premonition prior the deadly strike.
