Question:

What navy rate is better?

I chose AC ( air traffic control) i was wondering... should i have maybe tried intel? i didn't at the time because my credit was bad but i have since payed off all my dept. but now i'm kinda entranced with the aviation side of the navy. i'm still a DEPr. My husband likes the AC choice but i stil want to get some feed back! thanks

  1. AC=TONS of money in civilian word, im talking 100+k a year, just for being in the military.

    Intel is also a really nice choice, but it really only helps with a job in the civvy world if you want to continue doing that kind of work (fbi, cia, private firms hired by the military)


  2. Well im going into Intel for the Air Force, and one of the main reasons I didnt pick ATC was the 6 year commitment for the job. Also ATC in the civilian world has undergone alot of changes recently. The salary has been slashed markedly. New hires are on average making in the 40,000 range. This is down from the 70,000+ starting salary from just 3 years ago. Ask yourself if the salary is worth it for what is called one of the most stressful jobs in the world.

  3. Air traffic controllers are in demand and don't require a TS/SCI that can be revoked for money and many other problems.
