Question:

What neighborhood is UIC in Chicago located?

I am thinking of transferring there next semester and am looking for apartments....Could someone tell me what neighborhood to look in?

Also, is it a safe neighborhood?

  1. Dont think I can beat the first answer.  They are building ton of housing around that school.  The neighborhood is coming up everyday.  You can check Circle Park.  I know a lot of student may live near there.  It is on Ashland and Roosevelt.  Not far at all from the schools.  Luckily the Train drops you off a block away from the main buildings, so you can actually extend your search to places near the Blue line "L" train if money is an issue.  Good Luck.


  2. It is located in the near west side.  It borders Greektown, University Village, Little Italy, Tri-Taylor, and Illinois Medical District.  Some live further out in Pilsen and Bucktown/Wicker Park.

    For Chicago, it is a decent neighborhood.
