We are thinking about re-locating to Vegas and are 55+. Not knowing the area is a real handicap, we need a safe and clean neighborhood. Do they exist in Vegas????? Thanks for any help you can offer!

  1. Summerlin (Vegas), Aliante(NLV), Green Valley(Henderson) are among the nicest areas to live in Vegas.  These areas are also among the most costly.  Northwest Las Vegas,Henderson, and Lossee & Centennial area of NLV are also nice areas to live that are not as expensive.

  2. Summerlin and Henderson are beautiful

  3. Henderson, NV

  4. I recommend Sun City Anthem (a 55+ community), Seven Hills, and Southern Highlands.

Summerlin and Green Valley are nice, but they are older and so are the houses located in those neighborhoods. Green Vally is typically more expensive but only because people like the schools there. Aliante is in the North and it's...ok, but it's still the north. The North is where most of the foreclosure activity is right now. It's a big investor market and I don't think it's what you are looking for. Also, it's so far from everything, the freeways are impossible, and with high gas prices I wouldn't recommend buying ANYTHING on that side of town.

  5. You should look in Summerlin, The Lakes, Peccole Ranch, Rhodes Ranch, Spanish Trails, Southern Highlands, Green Valley (on the east side) and the NW area around Aliante is very nice.  There are new neighborhoods in the area around Ann and Losee Road that have very nice brand new apartments, new shopping centers and everything else.  As a matter of fact, my daughter and son in law just bought a gorgeous house in that area.  Check it out.
