What new Mac is better for video Editing?

Im aperantly Extremely Creative with film editing and design

i watch tons and tons movies n study the angles, soundtracks, sound effects, acting, screen filters

everything inside n out

my dream job is to be a Film Director

like Christopher Nolan

trying persuade parents for a New Mac computer

but stuck first off on wich Mac avalible now is best for

editing

any computer thats avalible on Apple store exept the

MAC Pros because they are just too expensive

They Imacs are probly more Stable the Macbooks, or Macbook Pros

but im not sure whats best Wich is why im asking Yahoo answers for help

(also what model of computer would be best

is the 2.8GHZ model do the job just as good as the 3.06Ghz model for less money) remember its for video EDITing wich deals with multy tasking, rendering, large files, large softwares n more

Save money and buy a refurb. Then use part of the money you save to upgrade the RAM to four gigs. That will make it even faster.

  I have the iMAC20 and it has been pretty good at such tasks as is (although I admittedly don't do LOTS of editing and downloading). If I were you, I'd go for the iMAC24 with its nice big screen and get as much RAM and hard drive that you can afford.  Apparently, the MAC store should be able to "customize" your iMAC to your needs and wants. Just make very certain that you explain to them what you are intending to do. Good luck.

Hollywood uses all apple  all the time because it WORKS all the time.

Yes the less expensive one will do it.  The difference in Ghz is small enough you won't notice it.

I do great things on my iMac from last year.  You will be fine.
