CubsBear had the right answer. The AFL & NFL merged into the NFL in 1970. 1971 was the first "SuperBowl", between NFL teams, Dallas and Baltimore. The GreenBay (NFL) / Kansas City (AFL) game was named the AFL-NFL World Championship Game. So, all you GreenBay and Kansas City fans, your team did not play in the first superbowl between two NFL teams.

  1. Green Bay beat Kansas City in the first Super bowl 35-10, in the LA coliseum.(Jan. 15, '67)  The game was unique for 2 reasons,

    1. The game was not a sellout!

    2. The game was televised by both NBC & CBS!

  2. Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs

Technically though the Packers were the NFL team and the Chiefs were an AFL team.  Since the merge took place in 1970 the real answer to this question would be the Baltimore Colts and the Dallas Cowboys with the Colts winning 16-13.

  3. Green Bay Packers vs. Kansas City Chiefs. Green Bay being the victor and winning the first Super Bowl in history.

  4. NY jets and the KC chiefs

    thats a guess

  5. Green Bay and Kansas City
