What nickname and colours for the Gold Coast team?

I like the idea of the Gold Coast Sharks, with a steel grey guernsey with red dribbles on the shoulders, and red sox. Terri and Bindi will veto the idea of the Stingrays

Names such as the QLD Sharks or the QLD Stingrays have a good ring to it and also slightly resemble the sea creatures that lurk around the Queensland shores.

I think colours like Port Powers except an ocean blue instead of black would suit but maybe a blue, green and yellow concept?

All the best to the QLD team though. Let's hope it can stand the test of time...

Your suggestion is interesting but apparently they are not allowed to use the nickname Sharks because it's Southports nickname.

I think that they should be called the Gold Coast Galahs and wear pink and grey with a bit of white.

Gold Coast Sharks / Stingrays or Marlins

What about Maroon and white either wth a V on the front or the sash like the bombers and tigers.

The maroon to represent QLD like they do in NRL

The alternate strip would be reversed, White with either the Maroon V on the front or the sash.

Not sure how it would look, but it's just a thought

Eeeeeeeeeeee-yuk.............grey with red dribbles!!!! As much chance of that combination as one of shocking pink with lime green fairies (in actual fact I think the latter suggestion would be the better of the two!).

Many have already said the best colours .... on one of the other 750 similar questions in here on the same topic.

Royal blue & black with white numbers.....would knock spots off any other colours. Terry & Bindy have no say on what can be used as nick.......Stingrays for me......or do you think jelly fish sounds better?

I think it should be the Stingrays (Rays) and thier colours should be silver and ocean blue.

Your jumper design is pretty good, but the sharks won't happen, the team on the gold coast is the southport sharks, the one who plays in the QFL,  not the local comp,there are plenty of gold coast clubs too.

Maybe some type of shark, hammerheads?  They could call them the gold coast leppers, no one wants them in the AFL except the AFL fools who run the show.
