Political causes are great income opportunity for the operators of the non-profit.  Pro-abortion,  Anti-abortion, Feed third world children, and Birth defects.  Remember the March of Dimes was organized to "beat polio in our time."  That was over 50 years ago.  Still, March of Dimes has continued to raise money for its employees and there is a fractional payout to whatever disease is its new cause.  Charity and poverty fighting are really great business opportunities for people who can live with the ethics of the charity and poverty game.
