-being nervous and shy (not saying it's a bad thing but being outgoing doesn't hurt)

well, if the same ppl from ur middle school go 2 9th grade with u, then u can be a normal person with the ur friends, but with the teachers, make sure that the teacher doesnt hate u and make sure that u be on good terms with them. Trust me, i was hated by some of my teachers and my grade, lets just say, werent wery good

- being too outgoing...in other words, you can't shut up and that'll really annoy the upperclassmen and your peers

- showing up unprepared: bring a notebook, pencil, your planner, whatever else they want you to bring on the first day

- dress in an uncomfortable outfit, i.e. something that's revealing, too tight, etc.

- acting unlike yourself: in other words, your actions send out the impression that you're trying too hard to fit in. this could be the way you talk, how you dress, your sense of humor, your work ethic...
