What novelty music act is better Tenacious D or Flight of the Conchords

This could be answered in 2 parts. Musical skills and comedic acting skills.

Flight of the Conchords is much better. I have to hand it to Tenacious D, they do play the guitar pretty good (I don't mean to underestimate), but Flight of the Conchords have a varied musical style. They play all sorts of genres, even ones that you wouldn't think you could actually play to except with drums. They play with a few more instruments than Tenacious D like the piano or keyboard, ukulele, and omnichord (if you consider that an instrument). Tenacious D, however, do have a more active stage presence often doing a little acting in their songs. Flight of the Conchords usually sit in chairs and give stand up in between songs. Jack Black tends to have to much vibrato (if that's what you call it) in his voice for reasons I don't know, maybe to be funnier. I think that Flight of the Conchords is better because they can play more kinds of music and do. They can also sing like people actually sing. Plus I think that the types of music that Flight of the Conchords play will attract more audiences than Tenacious D's heavy metal and hard rock. But if you like Tenacious D then you like them. It's your opinion.

fotc by far. much more eccentric comedy, they dont need to try like Tenacios D, TD do have alot of musical talent, but i think fotc has a way larger cult following amongst all types of people, and they are also easier on the eyes than TD
