The Polish president has said that it will not be ratified by Poland. Ireland has thrown it out. Where next for it, or is it finally dead?

  1. Here in UK we were promised a vote on the issue of the Lisbon Treaty, but were denied that vote.

The Irish voted NO and as far as I'm concerned that makes the Lisbon Treaty DEAD IN THE WATER, holed below the waterline and sinking.

I am grateful to the Irish for understanding what the Lisbon Treaty is about and how it would have a detremental effect upon their ancient Celtic way of life and traditions etc.

I am also grateful too to the President of Poland for standing up for law on the issue of the Lisbon Treaty.

No matter what the EU Political Elite want, they cannot deny the will of the people.  We either have democracy here in the EU or we don't.  If the people are asked to vote on an issue, as is the case with the Lisbon Treaty, the EU Political Elite must accept the 'verdict' like it or not.

The UK.gov says it is going ahead to ratify the Lisbon Treaty.  It has already lost heavily in recent local elections here in UK and London now has a Tory mayor.

The next general election here in UK is in June 2010.  I cannot see the present Labour UK.gov making any kind of recovery between now and then.

Gordon Brown flies in the face of all that is democratic - this monster ignores the will of the people of Ireland at his peril.

    Again, thank you Ireland.

Celtii bew - the living Celts.

  2. The treaty should end in my opinion. We dont need it, it is totally unnecessary.

  3. Oh don't you believe it!

They've been regurgitating it ever since the Danes rejected the Maastricht treaty in 1992.

Yes it should be dead.  However:  The EU is not a democracy, and they don't give a "flyin' ***k" about the individual nation state.

After all, it's the first step towards one world federalism.

  4. I think certain vital parts of it need to be revised and rewritten.

  5. The treaty should end. It is nothing but first step towards the complete unification of Europe and the U.K.. It would eventually cause the U.K. to lose its sovereignty  and end with the dissolution of the British Commonwealth.

Eventually, the "President" of the EU would have more authority about what happens in the U.K. than U.K.'s Parliament.

  6. Good on Ireland and now Poland (who'd have thought eh??) however they (EU Fascists)  will press on with the treaty, they were going to go ahead regardless after Ireland said no. I can see the EU states "bullying" Poland to get them back "onside", but this treaty as undemocratic as it is, is far from dead.

  7. It well be renamed ''agreement'' and you well vote on it again

  8. Gordon Brown is ‘doing the job’.

    Gordon Brown is listening.

Remember a year ago he said “I will do my utmost” and “I promise every citizen in the UK”.

Message to all UK residents from Gordon Brown:

“It doesn’t matter that you don’t understand the Treaty of Lisbon.

The reason that you don’t understand it is because it is a very complex document and we really can’t be bothered to explain it to you.

After all we haven’t in the past and we don’t intend to start now.

(We don’t understand it fully either but it is a good thing, a good thing.)

I have made my mind up to sign it on behalf of the UK.

I know we, the Labour Party promised the country a referendum on the EU constitution (we didn’t bother to explain this to you either)  but it’s not the EU constitution any more, it’s only 90% the same and the title has changed – so that makes it different doesn’t it?

I really can’t understand why you feel you can’t trust me and my dynamic government team on this issue especially as all the opinion polls are showing us in such a favourable light at the moment.”
