For example, science has now shown that feelings of intense romantic love lights up the part of the brain that is dopamine rich. I am wondering what nuerochemicals are produced in the brain when deception (lying) is produced or experienced in the brain.

  1. Typically the frontal cortex (the part of the brain involved in complex thinking and future planning) will become active during deception because you have to 'plan out' the best lie. The frontal cortex is largely glutamtergic (i.e. these release glutamine as a neurotransmitter)
