What occupation fits me best? What would I be considered as?

I know what I want to do in life, but i'm not sure which occupation would fit me best. I'd like to work with autistic children one on one, observe them and interact with them. Teach them to socially interact and play like other children. I dont want to work in the school system as a special education teacher nor do I want to be an autism specialist because they only study autism not interact with the children. What occupation would fit me best? what would I be called?

how about early intervention-you work with children and their families in the homes and communities--if you are interested in older people-teens/adults-there are sheltered workshops/job coaching and group homes-think social service field
