  1. The environment, sustainability, and science still leaves a pretty broad spectrum. Here's just a few ideas.  Architect/designer, speaker/educator, biology, geology, climatology, zoology, park ranger, museums, academics, research science, eco tourism, helping underdeveloped countries improve infrastructure, urban design, inventor, entrepreneur, recycling.

Maybe taking a physical geography course will help you narrow down your interests.

  2. The EPA hires scientists, accountants, attorneys (lots and lots), engineers, chemists, biologists, engineers, statisticians, IT specialists, etc. so you don't have to specialize in environmental science to work on environmental issues.

Major in something you are good at.

  3. Me too! But quite frankly there are so many possibilities. Aspects of environmental science include political, keep that in mind, if Al Gore became president, changes would of been made drastically. So go and become president!!!! (haha)

  4. It depends on your interests.

Do you want to work in a lab/office or out in the environment.

Research scientists have some opportunity to do both.

Rangers, Guides, and many others work in the field to actually sustain the environment or help educate others who are out there abusing it.
