  2. i heard the same thing last week - 99 octane, but that article clearly shows 98.  so i'll say 98.5.  final answer.

    and that is down since they switched to unleaded about half-way through last season from like 110 (i think it was a little lower, but can't find the reference right now).

  4. I heard them mention it was 98 octane in the last race.  I remember buying that grade at the pump in 1978.

  5. Last I heard over the weekend was 99 octane.  I believe it was 110 before they went to unleaded.

  7. Since they went to unleaded fuel, they are using Sunoco 260 GTX.  Here is  a website that gives its specs:
