I often think about this. I don't know why. I suppose anybody can get caught up in a situation that they can't really get out of. I am not trying to defend criminals at all. I realize that a large amount of folks in prison are there because they are career criminals.

  1. Have always believed that people are essentially good, and it's just life and circumstances that make them do terrible things. So would put it at around 95%? Ever the optimist...

  2. A fairly low percentage, I'd say no more than 10%.

But still, they deserve to be there, you don't get an exemption just because you're a good person who just made one mistake. One mistake is all it takes to end a life.

  3. i dont know the statistics but i am sure some regret having done that heinous crime and i think that is a good sign that they can become good people in the future.

  4. My estimate would probably be about 5% -10% because I think in some cases out of so many murders in the history of human civilization some people truly did it in defense to protect themselves and the people they love.

  5. My guess is 50%.  If you allow

    emotions, circumstances, to get

out of control murder can be a

    result.

  6. Of course you are right and have a point, but some criminals kill because they just love to see others in pain. Although there are some out there who kill for a jealousy rage or other circumstances. But in the end they are all criminals and all have to pay the same, I guess.
