  1. Actually, since The Queen is Queen of Australia, as she is Queen of Canada, New Zealand, etc., Oz does have royalty. Her and her family. As head of state she is a citizen of Oz.

  2. Advance Australia Fair is the official national anthem of Australia. Composed by Peter Dodds McCormick, the song was first performed in 1878, but did not gain its status as the official anthem until 1984. Until then, the song was sung in Australia as a patriotic song. In order for the song to become the anthem, it had to face a vote between the Royal anthem God Save the Queen and the "unofficial anthem" Waltzing Matilda. Other songs and marches have been influenced from Advance Australia Fair, such as the Australian Vice-Regal salute.

    Good Luck

  3. Australia doesn't have its own royalty. As a member of the Commonwealth, they recognize QEII as their head of state. They play "God Save the Queen" for her when she is present.

  4. The official anthem is "Baby Got Back."  They play it every time the Queen visits, she loves it!!!!

  5. If the Queen is there in person, the royal anthem God Save the Queen would be played, and then followed by the Australian national anthem. Otherwise, it would be the Australian anthem alone.
