What ohio spider is large, brown and has bright orange yellow joints on its legs?

found a large spider in lumber pile by garden. My husband said he has never seen a spider this large or color in ohio. The body was almost as large as a tarantula. the body was kind of hairy brown and the legs were long brown with the bright yellowish orange at the leg joints. I am trying to find out what type it is and if its poisonous. I alway heard the bright color like that is mother natures way of warning that its poisonous. my husband was a boy scout and never saw this type.
