What old civilization do you think was better than the rest?

the generations of Jews entering the promised land under Joshua  because they were filled with faith and raised for 40 years on manna from God, trusting the Lord cerca 1500bc give or take...

I also liked Calvin's Geneva,  they had some of the first laws protecting spouse abuse..  and was a model city in many ways... but perhaps that isn't as old as you wanted

i would have to say  ancient Greek. The Greek adapted to their souroundings, which helped the Romans adapt. Without the Ancient Greek empire, the ancient roman empire probably would not have existed

The Egyptian civilization was amazing. It was around before the Greeks and lasted up to the end of the Roman Empire. At it's peak, it had advanced weaponry, medical science and engineering (i mean people are still trying to figure out the pyramids today!) They were by far my favourite of the ancient civilizations. Though I'm pretty sure hieroglyphics would be even harder to understand and translate than Latin which I took last semester!

I'm with Marc P. The Romans got everything they knew from the Greeks including their gods. The Egyptians were advanced but not as advanced as the Greeks.

The Romans burned library of Alexandria. Then the Christian Egyptians burned it. then the Muslim Egyptians burned it.

Only the Greeks built it.

There were only two civilizations at the beginning.Greek and Egyptian.Egyptian civilization was erased by Arabs and Islam.Romans took everything from Greeks and we took everything from Romans.
