This man has achieved nothing, is vastly overrated as an orator and no -one really knows anything about him that's worth knowing.

  1. It's the EU lefties, supported by our media, twinning with their American 'alter ego', the Democrats.

Personally, I think that posturing on the world stage as though he were already the President is outrageous. It was like the second coming.

The guy is completely untested, relies on a preacher style rhetoric with no clear policy or sense of what he believes in.

  2. Compared to an embarrassing Bush, Obama is a breath of fresh air.

  3. Relief that George the Wonder Chimp is not going to be President for very much longer,  plus a sense that Barack Obama is going to be a pretty decent Prez.

  4. Seven and a half years of being pissed off by the current US administration. Maybe the former Schroeder government in Germany did not express it as clearly, and the current Merkel government gets along a bit better still, but Germans as a people despise Bush.

  5. Obama has two things going for him with the Germans.

One he is black and the Germans go to great lengths to disassociate themselves with their history.

Two he bats for the team playing against the Bush administration.

Lets hope the votes are counted correctly first time of asking at this election, because the rest of the world wasn't convinced the last vote was above board. Obama is the cowboy wearing the white hat.

  6. They love his socialist views and his dim view of America and its policies. They also know how much an Obummer presidency will weaken America and they hope for that too.

  7. It's Berlin - Berliners, like Parisians in France are not typical of their nation. There are a lot of idealistic student types in Berlin.

Berliners still remember the part Americans played in the Allied airlift when Stalin blockaded Berlin.

They also remember JFK's speech - perhaps they wanted to be part of a bit of history being made.

Apart from anything else it was a nice evening and Berliners like to party.

  8. He's not George Bush!

  9. I think that they like mass rallies

  10. Obamamania is all about the hatred of Bush. G Bush is bad news to the planet. People cant wait to see him go. And McCain looks like a Bush poodle so no chance of him being welcome anywhere soon.

  11. If you didnt know, people outside the US love Obama

  12. 1) You may not realize this, but most of Europe REALLY hates George Bush.

They think that he's a war criminal and they blame him for terrorist attacks such as the Madrid train bombings and the 7/7 bombings because he killed and tortured Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan which made their domestic Muslim populations angry.

    2) Most Europeans see McCain as being George Bush Jr2. The y support Obama because he's not George Bush, and because he promises to do all of the things that McCain won't do, like engage in multi-lateral diplomacy to prevent wars.

    3) Europe is also much more socialist than the US, and Obama is the more socialist candidate of the two (Obama is about as socialist as a radish, but he's still more to the left than McCain)

    4) Obama is the greener candidate. Europeans see McCain as being the environment's worst nightmare. Europe will suffer big time under global warming so they would rather not have a man in the White House who thinks that driving a hummer is a good thing.

    5) McCain is a former soldier. Europeans have had far too many ex soldiers as leaders (Hitler, for starters), so they don't like them.

  13. The offer of free beer and music drew the crowds not Obama.  Most people left before he spoke.

  14. They followed Hitler......

...... he had little education, achieved little, was an overrated orator who was not known widely.

Perhaps they are just a lead-able bunch of sheep, not really people.

  15. Obama was the middle act at a Rock Concert put on by socialists. By then everyone was drunk.

  16. there was a mix up in the newspapers, they thought john mccain was to be there but decided to stay because they were giving away free hotdogs and beer.

  17. I am quite certain he has achieved more than the author of this question for one.  Secondly, you Fox News, march lockstep, non-thinking, neo-cons wouldn't know a great orator if you saw one because you find the likes of John McCain and George Bush to be great orators, and only because Fox told you so.  Start thinking for yourself.
