  1. These are average salaries (commercial airliners):

    (a) A brand new pilot starts from 15,000 US$/year.

    (b) Middle level pilots earn 35,000 US$/year onwards

    (c) Senior commanders earn 65,000 US$/year  onwards

Their flying allowance is extra.Hotel stay and medicals are borne by the company.

However, private jet pilots are paid much higher than the commanders...like flying corporate jets.

  3. A lot depends on what type of plane you fly but it starts around 80k to start.

  4. pennies from heaven

  5. Alaska bush pilots can make $60,000 on average, after they put in their dues. New pilots make much less of course.

  6. What country are you in?  For what airline, what is your experience, and what extra professional qualifications mark you out?  You may as well ask what a chef earns - a little flipping burgers, a lot in a top London hotel.

  7. £120,000 per annum, and free hotel accomadation, and surrounded by a full flight crew of 16 air stwardesses around the hotel pool all trying to get that tan to show off to there friends when they get home.
